Stan Musial homered and had 5 RBI and Gaylord Perry was able to finish what he
started and was credited with a complete game as the Alexandria Dukes were
badly beaten by the Orlando Wave, 13 to 2.
 
Musial provided the offensive punch.  He slapped a base-hit scoring two
baserunners in the 1st inning, rifled a three-run blast in the 8th inning and
delivered a one-base hit in the 9th inning.  Orlando banged out 17 hits on
the afternoon.  
 
The win went to Perry(8-6) who allowed 2 runs in the game. The losing pitcher
was Juan Marichal(10-5).  He got hammered, allowing 8 hits and 2 walks in 3
and 1/3 innings.  
 
Orlando continued their winnings ways improving their record to 42-44.  They
are 8-2 in their last ten games.  With the loss, the Alexandria ballclub's
record is 54-32.
