Bobby Bonds had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Saskatoon Commodores bested the
Des Moines Pickers 7 to 5 at The Astrodome.
 
Early Wynn(1-5) contributed a very nice performance in relief.  He didn't give
up much, just 3 hits and 1 walk in 4 and 1/3 innings seeing his ERA drop from
5.21 to 4.76.  Both teams ended up with 9 hits on the night.  
 
Hoyt Wilhelm earned his 16th save.  Sparky Lyle(7-6) was charged with the loss
in relief.  Wth the win Saskatoon now has a record of 51-52.  With this loss,
Des Moines has a 5-5 record of late, 55-46 overall.
