beat the Anchorage Gold by the score of 9 to 7.
Des Moines scored the winning runs in the top of the 8th inning when they came
up with 4 runs on 3 hits. Des Moines had 11 hits for the afternoon.
Sparky Lyle(7-4) got the win allowing no runs in 3 and 1/3 innings. Kid
Nichols(4-5) was tagged with the loss in relief. The winning ways continue
