33,269 fans watched an exciting game at Forbes Field.  The Buffalo Nickels
topped the Cheyenne Gunslingers by the slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
 
The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings.  Buffalo was victorious in the
11th inning.  After an out was recorded, Cal Ripken Jr began the rally when
he lined a base-hit.  One out later, Al Oliver stepped in and he doubled, and
an error was also committed.  Buffalo finished with 7 hits in the victory.
 
The winning pitcher was Addie Joss(3-3) who allowed 2 runs in 10 innings. Jack
Chesbro preserved the game for Joss, recording his his 3rd.  Roy Face(1-1)
was hit with the loss in relief.  He was a hard-luck loser as he did not
allow an earned run in his 1 and 1/3 innings of work.
