Vida Blue held Anchorage to 3 hits and catcher Bill Freehan collected 2
extra-base hits and had 5 RBI as the Cheyenne Gunslingers bested the
Anchorage Gold 7 to 2 at Forbes Field.
 
Freehan made sure the Cheyenne fans enjoyed themselves.  He doubled resulting
in a run in the 2nd inning, tripled plating all three baserunners in the 5th
inning and laced a single in the 8th inning.  Cheyenne rapped out 14 hits for
the night.  
 
The winning pitcher was Blue(4-6) who allowed 2 runs for the game. The losing
pitcher was Big Bill Foster(9-2).  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 12 hits
and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.  
 
The win by Cheyenne was very good news as they had been 2-8 of late.  Now
their seasonal record improves to 24-29.  Anchorage has a record of 33-20
after the loss.
