The Anchorage Gold defeated the Cheyenne Gunslingers by a score of 11 to 8 at
Forbes Field.
Gabby Hartnett led the offense for Anchorage. He lofted a solo-blast
'downtown' in the 2nd inning and doubled plating all three baserunners in the
3rd inning. Anchorage totaled 14 hits on the night.
Dennis Martinez(4-3) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 2/3 innings
and allowing 6 runs. Vida Blue(3-6) was the loser. He was touched for 7 hits
and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings.
