Ben Taylor had 4 hits and 3 RBI as the Alexandria Dukes defeated the
Anchorage Gold by a score of 5 to 3 at Tiger Stadium.
 
Juan Marichal(5-3) pitched a solid game.  He went 8 innings allowing 11
hits and 2 walks.  Alexandria managed 13 hits in their victory. 
 
Marichal got help from Goose Gossage who was credited with his 6th
save.  Dwight Gooden(3-4) was the loser.  He got hit pretty hard,
allowing 13 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings. 
 
'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Marichal said, 'this was one of those times.'
