Sandy Koufax retired 16 batters on strikeouts and catcher Roy Campanella
blasted a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Alexandria Dukes beat the New Orleans
Pelicans by a score of 6 to 2.
 
Campanella had a good day at the plate.  He lost the ball over the fence for
three runs in the 1st inning, lined a single bringing in a run in the 6th
inning and delivered a base-hit in the 8th inning.  Alexandria rapped out 14
hits for the afternoon.  
 
Koufax(5-2), allowing 2 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Satchel
Paige(4-3) ended up with the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 14 hits and 4
walks in 8 innings.  
 
'Everything felt great' Koufax said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
