Nolan Ryan racked up an impressive total of 13 strikeouts as the Des Moines
Pickers defeated the New Orleans Pelicans by the score of 11 to 3 at Fenway
Park.
Ted Williams had a good day at the plate. He doubled scoring two baserunners
in the 6th inning and clubbed a solo home run in the 9th inning. Des Moines
managed 12 hits in their victory.
The win went to Ryan(3-1) who allowed 3 runs in the game. Satchel Paige(3-2)
was hit with the loss. 'Everything felt great' Ryan said. 'I had a good
fastball, I felt I could throw it by everybody today.'
