Louis Santop hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI at Wrigley Field where the
Des Moines Pickers beat the Saskatoon Commodores in 10 innings 5 to 4.
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings. Des Moines won the game
in the 10th inning. Santop blasted a solo shot making Des Moines the winners
and sending the 45,064 fans home happy. A wild affair, this game saw the
lead change 5 times.
The victory went to Sparky Lyle(10-6) who went 2 innings, allowing 1 run. Hoyt
Wilhelm(4-4) took the loss in relief. He pitched 2 and 1/3 innings giving up
